Tether has frozen 32 addresses holding assets worth $870,000 owned by criminals

The stablecoin issuer company Tether has confirmed its commitment to close collaboration with law enforcement agencies worldwide to address the issue of terrorism and eliminate conflicts funded through cryptocurrencies.

As of now, Tether has assisted 31 authorities in conducting investigations in 19 different countries. This collaboration has led to the freezing of assets totaling $835 million linked to blockchain and cryptocurrency exchange hacks and thefts.

Out of this sum, $873,118.34 was frozen in 32 Tether addresses after their association with illegal activities in Israel and Ukraine was identified. The company announced this in a blog post on October 16th.
