The price of Bitcoin has reached a new high since the end of summer. On the evening of September 14th, the asset’s price reached $26.75 thousand for the first time since August 31st. Within 24 hours, BTC increased by 1.3%. As of 9:40 AM Moscow time on September 15th, Bitcoin is trading at $26.58 thousand.
The prices of some other cryptocurrencies have also risen in tandem with Bitcoin. Ripple (XRP) increased by 3.6% to $0.49, Ethereum (ETH) rose by 0.8% to $1.63 thousand, Cardano (ADA) gained 2.1% and is trading at $0.25, while Solana (SOL) increased by 2.3% to $19.14.
The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies stands at $1.09 trillion, with a daily trading volume of $35 billion. The cryptocurrency fear and greed index is currently in the “fear” range at 45 out of 100.
Within the past 24 hours, positions of traders worth a total of $55.8 million were liquidated on cryptocurrency exchanges, according to Coinglass data. Bitcoin accounted for $16.27 million of these liquidations, while Ethereum accounted for $14.64 million.
