According to the developers, funds were withdrawn from the ETH/BSC hot wallets. An investigation into the incident is currently underway. Stake.com representatives emphasized that user funds and other project wallets remain secure. At the moment, the platform has suspended all deposits and withdrawals
It appears that hackers managed to gain access to the private keys of the wallets. However, it is still unclear whether the attackers stole the key itself from the developers or exploited some vulnerability in the hot wallet interface or service.
The funds were withdrawn in two transactions. Initially, the hackers withdrew $15.7 million, which included 6,000 ETH ($9.8 million) and $5.9 million in stablecoins. Subsequently, an additional $25.6 million was withdrawn, with $17.8 million going to the BNB Chain network and $7.8 million in assets on the Polygon network.
